Michael married Marcy Crenshaw on July 28, 2007. The ceremony took place
on an island in the North Santiam River. The number of attendees numbered
about 33, limited by the fact that all had to be transported in 9 river craft to
and from the island. After a December honeymoon on the Yucatan Peninsula
in Mexico, there will be a reception January 19 at St. Anne's Orthodox Church,
just north of Corvallis.
REUNI ON 2006 IS SET! Thanks,
again, to Joann's diligence we
have the same beach house in Lincoln City, OR for the Gorman Family

27/06 Work, work, work. Joann and Steve joined me for a little early
spring fly fishing on the southern Oregon's Rogue River. They both caught
some magnificent fish, and Steve caught his very first steelhead ever.
Joann and some of her family members will joining me again in early August in
pursuit of summer steelhead on the Rogue. Michael
From Margaret (Bender) Hafner 3/26/06 . . . . Hope
this link works for you. It gives you some idea of what TJ and Jill are doing
on their spring break. Makes me wish I was there.
TJ called last night to say that his luggage
didn't make it there with him. Hopefully it will be delivered to the
warehouse where they are staying sometime today. They are headed out this
morning to start cleaning out a home. They were issued face masks to give
some protection against the black mold which is rampant there. His and Jill's
boots were in his luggage so they will be wearing the footwear they wore on
the flight over.
I've looked at several links and don't remember
right now how much this one tells you, but I think it was pretty informative.
More later. Lots of photos, I hope.

her husband Ryan Johnson. Front row, Hunter, Aaron, Pam's Mom Mary Workman, Pam,

I'll be in Seattle for training and will be visiting Joanne and Steve the last
week of Jan.. Take care...Tim

Mark Severson (Joann and Steve's second son) and Serena Leggett became husband and wife on February 4, 2006, which happened
to be Uncle Patrick Gorman's birthday. After a gala event, they flew to
Kuai, Hawaii for a week of honeymooning. Congratulations!
Here's a link that tells a little more about Mark and Serena . . . . .

Christmas 2005 at the Seversons. Joann and her family were kind
enough to invite me to Seattle for Christmas. We started off the weekend
at Qwest Field where we watched the Seattle Seahawks whoop the Indianapolis
Colts. Christmas Day, it was dinner, open the presents, and go to the
local movie theater to view "The Chronicles of Narnia". Even though I am
persistently a bad influence on their four sons, Joann and Steve are always
gracious hosts. Steve cooked up a killer TurDuckEn. If you've not
had it, or heard of it, it's a boned whole chicken stuffed inside a boneless
duck stuffed inside a boneless turkey. Mmmmmmmmm . . . . Steve, I
think, could be an excellent chef if he'll ever retire from Boeing.
A Gorman Mini Reunion
was held at the home of Tom & Christie Gorman on Monday, December 26,
2005. Five cousins --- Denny, Tom, Joann, Susan, and Michael --- and
portions of their families enjoyed a few hours of fun, food, and frivolity. Click on
the pics for enlargement.
7/18/05 From Susan (Bender) Vander
Beek Hey
Just giving an update on our family. Jack and I have been married for 15 years
He's an Rn in the operating room here at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, as I
was for 16 years. In January, I went to work on 7th floor.....Boy! has health
care changed in the nearly 20 years since I was a bedside nurse.
We've been blessed with 2 children in our
advanced ages. Benjamin is 7("seven and a half, Mom"), loves animals and
gameboy and reading and Marx Bros. movies. Riley Elizabeth will turn 5 In
October and sings her way through life. She draws and paints to the music.
Tomorrow they both start swimming lessons and we'll see if Riley really is
half mermaid like she told Grampa Don.
I wish we could be at the reunion, but I'm
scheduled to work that weekend. I'd love to get together with you all. Tom and
I have tried to get together, but not yet been successful....and we live in
the same town! Please feel free to call and come visit. 360.264.4063
suevb@comcast.net is my e-mail ....would love to hear from you.
Love the website, Mike. My boy is fascinated to
learn he has a "cousin" close to his age in his hometown, so he's reading
along regularly.
Please keep us in the loop.

from Janell (Hall) Valdez . . . . .Hi Michael, I just wanted
to update the family on what I've been doing lately. The picture I sent is of my
husband John, my 13 year old daughter Kayla, in front, our foreign exchange
student Lisa, (the blonde one) and my 16 year old daughter Alyssa. This picture
was taken at the Space Needle a couple of weeks ago. My story so far is that I
married John Valdez in 1987 just before I graduated from San Jose State
University. We had Alyssa in November of 1988 and then Kayla three years later.
We moved up to Salem, Oregon from San Jose in 1989, when my parents, Eleanor &
Woody Hall retired up here. I've worked for D & O Garbage Service in Salem since
1990, where I am the office manager. John has worked for Salem Area Mass Transit
for the past 6 years. My daughters are very athletic, playing softball,
volleyball, basketball & tennis. Kayla will be entering 8th grade in September
and Alyssa will be a Junior at Sprague High School. She is a member of the
Sprague marching band, where she plays trombone. She also plays bassoon in the
school wind ensemble. She is looking into the possibility of attending either U
of O or Cal Poly, where she would like to study architecture. Right now, I'm not
sure if we'll make it to the reunion, since we'll be coming back from a vacation
in California that weekend. I'll let you know when the date gets a little
closer. If I don't see you all, I hope you have a great time at the get
together.
Take care, Jan
(Janell Hall) Valdez

From Julie ( Hall) Adams . . . Talked with Margie last nite &
she gave me the scoop on the reunion. I'm so glad you & your sibs took the reins
and ran with this idea! I'll get the info out to my mom & MY sibs today. And
MiSo, here's what you can add to the Gorman website about the Adams family...
First of all, a picture of my grandbaby & me :)
Here's the scoop on the Adams family (Julie Hall). Leon & I have been married
almost 30 years (1976!), and live in Sublimity. He's worked for Skyline Ford for
almost 25 years & I work for NW Natural Gas. Our daughter Carrie (23), has just
built a home in Independence and lives there with her boyfriend, Brian, and his
little guy, Brandon (6). Our son Brandon (22) owns a home in South Salem and
lives there with his fiance, Brooke, and their daughter Macy (9 months). Yup,
Leon & I are grandparents and loving it! We're building a home at Detroit Lake,
so if you are in that neck of the woods, you have to come & visit us! I'm
so excited about catching up with everyone at the reunion next month!
June 14 A note from Denny Gorman . . . . .Michael,
I have been slow to respond to the reunion announcement because 'I'm slow.' Not
really, I can actually still move fairly quickly, but I do tend to
procrastinate. Yes, I do! Sounds like a good time to me. We are looking
forward to getting re-acquainted with everyone!
Quick family synopsis: I'm still happily married
to the sweet young thing, Linda, I met in Ohio in '68. She's working as a
special education teacher in Tacoma School District. I'm still working - civil
engineer since 1993, now working for an architectural & engineering firm in
Tacoma. Two daughters:
Amanda - 33, and husband, Jamin, with 8-yr old son - Austin, and 5-yr old
daughter - Isabelle, living in Olympia, WA. 2nd daughter, Sarah - 31, engaged to
be married to John Regan on October 15, 2005 in Grass Valley, CA.
I still enjoy cars and working on them and driving, especially high-performance
driving on road courses and navigating for Tom in TSD (time-speed-distance) car
rallies.
Here are a few pictures that show everyone mentioned above -- I think you can
determine who's who in the zoo. The Christmas picture was our first meeting with
Sarah's not-yet-engaged boyfriend - it didn't scare him off, but he had to think
about it until her birthday - April 9!! See you on the 24th of July!
Denny
